Intellectual property deals with work created by an individual that was originated through his/her own thoughts. It protects / covers original work such as novels, plays music, literary, artistic works, discoveries and inventions; and words, phrases, symbols and designs. The purpose of intellectual property laws is to encourage new technology, artistic expression and invention while promoting economic growth.

We should not post content that degrades the work of others on the basis of gender or race. One must have respect for intellectual property and not try to exploit the work of others by trying to sell or pass it off as your own work. It is important to note and practice the proper use of the works of others. Anyone who utilizes a part or any portion of an individual’s production must give due respect for that piece of work by mentioning the source.
This can be done by proper quotation or an approved permission from the owner to use or share such work. A prime example can be seen in the music of recording artiste which has been used in political campaign. We should take into consideration how hard persons have worked to come up with new ideas. They give much of their time and commitment, so we cannot try to make profit from something that does not belong to us. If we respect and value what we have then we can do the same for other people. We should not encourage anyone to use anything that was created by someone else. Also, we can become a part of a group that promotes zero tolerance against persons that use or benefit from intellectual property. People can attend seminars and workshop in order to understand more on the subject of intellectual property. This will also help persons to develop greater appreciation for the work of others.

Hi, I hope you can help us. We are a group of people with Parkinson's (PWPs) who have been working on developing a wikipedia-like site for all information relevant to Parkinson's (please see our wetpaint site, www.AllThingsParkinsons.wetpaint). Our hope is that ultimately we will be able to develope a community of 10,000s users, contributors and editors; but until I found Wetpaint, we could not find a user friendly wiki platform, and many of the folks in the Parkinson's community cannot nor would not be able to struggle with a mark-up language. So, I was very happy to find Wetpaint. It looks as if it will help us make this significant project happen. BUT I am having trouble with the navigation menu -- setting it up so that its structure reflects the logic of our unique, very complex site. Would you be able to help us with this specific problem? Thanks much, DJEPhD

I keep looking for new themes... but I don't find any... please, may we have some Christian themes? and more of the earth tone colors on the page... the white page is too bland for me... but the black themes are sometimes darker than I want too... I would like more versatility of themes... thanks
