Hello, I am a member of several wetpaint communities but recently there has been an issue of some sort and now every time I enter a site hosted by wetpaint, I get this error prompt:
[ Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://(wetpaintsitename).wetpaint.com Operation aborted ] This only occurs on wetpaint sites and I've had this issue for a week. I have noticed that nobody else has this problem and I can get onto the sites from other computers, but once I'm logged into this wetpaint profile, the problem starts to occur on that computer as well. I have to stop my internet loading process at the right moment to do anything on any wepain sites otherwise the page closes and will not let me in. Do you have any idea of what the problem could be?

Hey Boe and all!
A bunch of our users (myself included) noticed that we recently always get the "you have unsaved changes" prompt when canceling an EasyEdit, even if not a single change is made. Very easy to reproduce. Happens on most recent versions of both IE and FF. I can send a screenshot or other specifics if needed. Is this something you're aware of? It used to not happen. Thanks, Ed

Hello, I have had a wetpaint account for a long while now but recently it has said 1 next to my inbox but there are not new messages,friends or anything... I don't no how to get rid of it as it appears on all of my website that I am joined to

I made my website, and then I made a website for my daughter. Now, when I sign in, I can see or edit my website and when my daughter signs in, she can also see and edit MY website. Why is that ? Also, when I enter my URL, I go to my website but when my daughter enters her URL, it says that the site does not exist. I have also tried to delete my daughter's membership several times, but it does not get deleted. I would really appreciate some help.

I have created two new categories under general discussion in our site. I tried of start a new thread in each one of these two categories. It just sits there and does not show me the pop up for starting a new thread. What is the problem?

I (and my students) are unable to add attachments (word docs, powerpoint presentations, etc.) to my site. duralek.wetpaint.com.
My student teacher is also experiencing this same problem with his site: virgonewebquest.wetpaint.com. Those students are also unable to upload their docs to this site. Is this a new issue? We were both able to add docs yesterday (12/3/09)? Please advise. Thanks! |

I use Fire Fox, but this has JUST happened.
I cannot change fronts. I cannot change Colors. AND I cannot change the size. I can't even view it after I save! If I click the Easy Edit button, it will show up correctly for a split second, then go to, Normal, Ariel, 12, Black. When I save, it is the same exact thing. Like I said, it JUST appeared. My sister uses Internet Explorer, she has the same problem, only she can't do another thing. Add pictures. Even if she saves them on her computer and clicks on photo in the toolbar, then upload new photo. She has had this problem for I don't know how long, but she has trouble typing too. Only on Wetpaint.

I created a wetpaint site for my community college faculty (http://btcmfacultyzone.wetpaint.com/). I forgot my password, maybe even login name. When I got a new one and log in, I have no edit rights and see only the restrictive "private" site message. Help? -- David

I am an instructor at a college and my students are using wepaint for an assignment. A few are currently having trouble logging on, or have forgotten passwords and can't get into the site. What can I do? Can I reset passwords, or can they, do I re-invite?

There are these things that you can upload onto other websites, but one of the options is not wetpaint. But there is a link you can copy and paste to your website and it will appear there. I tried, but it won't work...only the link is there HELP

I am using a site for my class project. Several students reported that when they click EasyEdit to edit the page, it says Loading.... and doesn't go any further. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Ok this started with a change in the format of the wetpage just a simple change of linking two images.
So when Logging in I noticed a very odd formating to the table in my profile that pushed several cells off my page beyound the boundary of the Easy Edit. Making getting rid of them immpossibile. Soo I was going to copy my page to 2nd profile and delete all the content on that profile and rework it back to 1st profile. Simple enough but before I could do that this happened. Just a few days later it I logged in to find this... 2107 words deleted 42 images deleted 2 widgets deleted About half my Profile deleted and im dissipointed to say the least v_v; Why cant WetPaint just allow HTML then I could save a damn copy of my page? WetPaint Could mess up my profile all it wanted then and I could just replace it. I will be leaving Wetpage behind if something isn't done to allow HTML or Recover my page. |

Is there a way to limit the access to pages within a Wetpaint site to only specific users or members? I would like to invite guest contributors to my private site without allowing those guests access to all of the pages included within the site. The site is a non-profit that will ask for advise from outside contributors but does not want all of the content to be accessible to these contributors/advisors.

I have been trying to add hyperlinks on my educational wiki site and whilst they appear to be active whilst I am in the edit mode as soon as I save and return later they are inactive or corrupted. Is this a wetpaint issue or an institutional issue

I have a user that I am trying to boot from my site. Everytime I click on the profile an error comes up that says server error if problem presist please refresh page. This is a school based site and I need to boot this user now. So please help with this issue. Thanks.

Sadly, one of the members of my wiki died of cancer. How do I totally delete her information from the wiki...I'm very sure she would appreciate having it deleted. Thank you in advance....this is a very sad and touchy situation since it is a work related wiki....
