Have you thought of a brilliant way to use Wetpaint Injected but not had the time to build it?Can you think of any no-brainer mashups or pie in the sky use cases for the product? Let us know by replying to this thread. Do you find this valuable? |

Yes. You could set up a major html clan hosting and charge small amount for upgrades. You would earn money with this.

I don't know he technical side of how to do this, but here is my idea: a mashup between map data and a Wetpaint wiki. Some examples: 1) a real estate company could have Wetpaint injected and a mashup with Google maps where people could leave comments about properties that they go and look at. Users could potentially fill out little surveys about features that they most liked and most disliked about each property. 2) In a similar vein, there should be a company for "Yellowstone 2.0" where users can list what animals they are currently seeing in a specific location. Other people could be browsing the site on their portable devices and see that there is a bear in a particular place and choose to go there. Of course, this may only increase traffic problems in the park! and 3) Other tourist websites could allow people to contribute geographically-relevant information about monuments, restaurants, etc. Basically tourism would become more interactive among tourists. So if I am in Italy and find some quaint restaurant that is 200 years old I could add a comment about it on a map, give a rating, etc. and someone else could search an area for restaurants and my review would come to their attention. If that person goes there they could fill out some little review survey too--as simple as rating it out of 5 stars, or if they want to add commentary, photos, etc. they may. Just another way for businesses to involve their clients, rather than just sell to them. Do you find this valuable? |
